In this presentation we will explore trends in big data analytics with cloud and distributed architecture. We’ll discuss some of the problems and pathways forward when working with big data, as well as the indicators for when your data is “big enough” to require a different approach for analysis.  Through the discussion we’ll also explore where products like Esri’s ArcGIS GeoAnalytics Engine fits in the big data analysis space.
