Getting to Know
QGIS

QGIS is coming up on its 20th anniversary, but many people are not familiar with this powerful, free desktop GIS tool. No matter if you need a full-time full-fledged GIS tool, or something in your back pocket to handle the occasional weird edge case QGIS is there to help you.

DATE:

June 16

TIME:

2:00-3:00 pm

GIS is GIS, data is data, but getting to know a new piece of software can be daunting.  In this webinar we will be going over what QGIS is, how to get it, and how to get started loading and analyzing data.  QGIS can handle nearly any GIS format you throw at it, from shapefiles to filegeodatabases, from KMLs to DWGs, and pretty much any raster format you can imagine.

Once you have data loaded QGIS has hundreds of processing tools to analyze, manipulate, aggregate, and do whatever you need to get the GIS answers for you to do you work.  We will go over a small set of these tools and show how easy it is to batch process data for use in QGIS or any other GIS tool.
