Midstate Geospatial Coordinate User Group
Chair: Joan Keene
The Indiana Midstate Geospatial Coordinate is an informal users’ group that provides a forum for networking, exchange of knowledge, techniques, and support among those who are passionate about geospatial data and mapping. This includes a diverse group of individuals, including GIS professionals, web developers, county and city officials, students, and other non-traditional GIS users who have a vested interest in GIS and mapping.
IMGC is open to those living or working in the central section of Indiana, which are highlighted in light green in the map. Similar to the Northern Indiana and SW Indiana User Groups, we will meet quarterly to discuss new technologies, hear speakers, network, and more. Meetings will rotate between in-person and virtual.
Membership is free, and while we are supported by IGIC, you do not need to be a member of the Indiana Geospatial Information Council to attend. Meeting agendas are open and inclusive to all group members. Members are encouraged to talk about current projects they are working on, regardless of the scale and/or technical difficulty. The idea is to share what we are doing, resources that we have found helpful, any anything else that is beneficial to others in the group.
